Application Engineer (m/d) Air Springs

Tasks

• Technical development of air springs and air spring modules according to internal specifications, customer specifications and project timetable across the entire VCProMaP project management process.
• Technical evaluation of customer specifications and requirements. Subsequent feedback to the customer, review and negotiation of a technically acceptable contractual basis for the project
• Basic functional design and derivation of specifications for construction materials and tests
• Coordination of procurement, assembly, quality assurance and delivery of prototype parts
• Coordination of the design, resources, implementation and documentation of static and dynamic tests relevant to design and product validation, including customer approval
• Comprehensive coordination of technical aspects that influence the design function and quality of the product, both internally (product development, process engineering, testing, PQS, logistics) and externally (customers, suppliers).
• Permanent commitment to product/process improvements and innovations, including the protection of knowledge by patents
• Technical support for product launches and occasional series supply problems and quality complaints
• Support of design and process FMEA

Your profile

• Bachelor or higher degree in a technical discipline (engineering, vehicle engineering, etc.)
• Multiannual experience in the automotive industry or an automotive supplier in the fields of development and/or project management desirable
• knowledge of product development, basic knowledge of air springs desirable
• Good knowledge of MS-Office
• Very good English and German language skills in word and writing
• Communication strength and a structured working method
