Nurse for specialized care at P (m/f/d)

At our specialized station, you serve patients not only in the context of Parkinson's complex treatment, but in the entire range of modern care for movement disorders. These include, in particular, the evaluation, adjustment and aftercare of deep brain stimulation (THS) as well as the testing and monitoring of modern pump methods.

The area is located in a separate section for movement disorders under the direction of Prof. Dr. Norbert Brüggemann and part of the Department of Neurology under the direction of Prof. Dr. Jens Minnerup. Patients are treated with Parkinson's disease, atypical Parkinson's syndromes, dystonia, ataxia, Huntington's disease and other rare neurogenetic diseases.

Due to the close connection to the special ambulance for Parkinson and movement disorders, the neurological daily clinic as well as stationary treatment structures, cross-sectoral care is possible over various illness and therapy phases. In addition, the area is embedded in a scientifically active university environment with clinical and innovative studies.

This is what awaits you:

• Nursing care of patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders

• Working in specialized stationary care, including Parkinson complex treatment and THS and pump therapies

• Implementation of Parkinson-specific nursing measures, e.g. support in Dysphagie management with adapted eating and drinking strategies, activating mobilisation to reduce freezing episodes and fall risk, promoting self-employment in the activities of daily life

• Participation in visits, case meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings

• Close cooperation with the areas of Logopedia, Ergotherapy, Physiotherapy, Neuropsychology, Social Service and Medical Service

Take this with you:

• A completed training as a nurse / nursing specialist, health and nursing technician / health care and nursing staff or a comparable qualification

• Interest in supplying people with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders

• A training on Parkinson Nurse is desirable; Interest, willingness to learn and joy in a specialized neurological field
