We are looking for a coordinator for digitalization in schools with a focus on IT network and infrastructure (m/w/d) at the Education and Sport Department in the IT field at schools as of 01.04.2026 Full-time, unlimited The city of Ulm is a student for about 50 Ulmer schools of all types of school. In the field of IT at schools we work in a multi-professional team, are strong partners of pedagogy and provide the digital prerequisites for modern and future-oriented teaching. We plan and get the IT equipment incl. Networking at schools. In addition, we are responsible for providing IT support for the operation, further development and consulting of schools around IT in schools. Payment is made up to 11 TVöD.

Your tasks: responsible planning, implementation and project management tasks in the field of active network components in schools, in rebuilding and in stock Coordination of the operation of LAN and WLAN networks with the IT service provider in schools Coordination of life cycle management of existing hardware and software Further development of technical standards and process optimizations close cooperation within the fields of IT services and IT management Advising the responsible persons in schools in the above-mentioned areas

Your profile: a completed study (Bachelor) in computer science, technical IT course or a comparable qualification very good expertise in networking LAN/MAN/WAN technologies, WLAN/Wifi, VoIP, TCP/IP, QoS and security components good expertise in implementing and managing Cisco solutions (ideal: Cisco certifications CCNA) strong communication and team skills as well as very good written and oral expressiveness professionally sound and empirical approach to the different IT problems of schools and a solution-oriented action Knowledge of IT security standards (e.g. BSI Grundschutz, ISO 27000) and data protection (GDPR) as well as ITIL certification in IT service management a class B driving licence Openness to new technologies and the willingness to work quickly into different situations
