Research into the cellular and neuronal foundations of cognitive functions with innovative experimental approaches Planning, implementation and evaluation of complex brain analyses on genetically modified mouse models, including opto- and chemical methods Linking molecular cell biology of adult neuronal stem cells with neurophysiological questions Conducting demanding experimental manipulations such as pharmacological treatments, surgical interventions and organ preparations phenotypic characterization of experimental models at histological level using modern microscopy and analysis techniques Active participation in academic teaching by carrying out courses, supervision of seminar and final work as well as preparation of teaching materials Instruction and professional support of students and young scientists as well as organization of the laboratory operation (including mouse colonies, material procurement)

Completed academic studies in the field of neurophysiology or in a comparable field Funded technical knowledge focusing on electrophysiology, biochemistry, analysis and experimental laboratory work Practical experience in carrying out and evaluating experimental research Experience in dealing with experimental animals, ideally with appropriate qualifications in accordance with the applicable guidelines Self-employed, structured and responsible work High interest in in interdisciplinary neurobiological research and scientific further qualification Convinced on the whole line -

At the earliest possible date, the body must be permanently occupied in full or part-time employment for at least 12 months.
