DataOps Engineer – Database & Cloud Operations (m/f/d)

As a DataOps Engineer, you can use our team to ensure the stable, secure and efficient operation of our data platforms. You connect database know-how with cloud, automation and operational know-how and work at the interface between development, data management, departments and infrastructure. Sounds exciting!? Your tasks Operation, monitoring and continuous development of our data platforms and data charging processes Installation, configuration and administration of our data banks, in particular PostgreSQL and Exasol Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Incident Management for Data Banks, Batch jobs, Data Delivery and Platform Components Implementation and support of database patches, upgrades, backup/restore and recovery measures Analysis and optimization of database and platform performance, e.g. resource consumption, runtimes, locks and technical bottlenecks Development of automation for recurring operational tasks, e.g. with Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform or Ansible Cooperation in the operation and further development of orchestration and platform tools, e.g. airflow, dbt, Rundeck and CI/CD tools Implementation of technical security and compliance requirements, such as patch management, permissions, vulnerability and auditability Close cooperation with development teams, data engineers, IT1, security and specialist departments Documentation of operations, technical solutions and runbooks

Higher education of (economic) informatics, statistics, mathematics, economics or a comparable specialist Multiannual experience in productive operation and administration of data banks, platforms or distributed systems Finded knowledge of relational data banks, ideally PostgreSQL and/or Exasol, as well as SQL Experience with Linux and/or Windows as well as scripting/automating with Python, Bash and/or PowerShell Knowledge of Monitoring, Logging, Incident Management, Backup/Restore and Performance Analysis Ideally experience with cloud environments, CI/CD, infrastructure as code or data platforms Very good knowledge of German in word and writing A structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working Communication strength and joy in cooperation with various technical and technical teams This is a plus: Experience with Airflow, dbt, Rundeck, Jenkins, Zabbix or comparable tools Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses or reporting platforms Experience in a regulated environment with high safety, traceability and documentation requirements Experience with agile working methods such as Kanban, Scrum or Scrumban
