Software Engineer Full Stack Development (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. Software Engineer (m/w/d) from now on and in full time at one of our BWI locations. In the German Mission Network (GMN) project, we develop a management support system that accompanies management information systems of the Bundeswehr over their life cycle. Starting with the manufacturing processes, the tasks span the support and management of data centers as well as the deployment planning. via a model-based approach, we automatically generate setup scripts that enable our customers, the Bundeswehr, to install, configure and update IT systems that are relevant for use. From stationary to mobile data center, whether for use in the field or at high sea - we provide robust and fault-tolerant IT.

Introducing expert knowledge on modern software development with Java, Frameworks, React and database systems Object-oriented design, implementation and continuous integration and delivery of software modules (including microservices with REST interfaces via Spring Web, components and application elements) across all architectural levels Cooperation in the entire software lifecycle in cross-functional teams Active co-design and impulse to optimise team and stakeholders Monitoring and Healthchecks by Spring Actuator Testing on all levels (Unit, Integration, End-to-End) Integration of the developed solutions into the system landscape of the BWI and/or its customers

Complete study of computer science or comparable training in the IT field At least 2 years of professional experience in software engineering (design, architecture, interface development, testing) Very good knowledge in the Java environment with Spring Boot as well as in the front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React Experience in dealing with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) Routine in professional development standards (Clean Code, Design Patterns, Architecture Principles) as well as tools such as GitLab, Confluence and Jira German and good knowledge of English in word and writing Personal Strengths: Analytical Thinking, Care and Conscientiousness, Teamability, Conflictability and Target Orientation
