Tasks

• They are responsible for the development and implementation of robust IFRS/HGB governance.
• They provide IFRS and HGB-compliant external reporting, including consolidated business reports, quarterly reports, individual accounts, and compliance with capital market requirements.
• You are responsible for the construction and technical management of the Accounting Principle andamp; External reporting teams, including their further development.
• They are responsible for the application of accounting principles, continuous monitoring of accounting standards and implementation of new standards, as well as processing of accounting-related issues.

This also includes special areas such as e.g. Tax Accounting, Financial Instruments and Pensions.
• They participate in special projects, in particular Mundamp;A projects, and coordinate cooperation with the consolidated auditor.

Profile

• They bring a completed degree in accounting, finance or a related area, ideally with advanced degree such as an MBA or Master in Accounting as well as a professional certification as an auditor (CPA) (m/w/d) or equivalent qualification (e.g. ACCA).
• You have many years of experience in financial reporting, of which at least 3 years in a (scientific) leadership position, preferably in multinational organisations.
• You have comprehensive knowledge of the application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Commercial Code (HGB) and other relevant accounting standards, as well as experience with financial reporting software (Disclosure Management Tools) and ERP systems.
• They bring strong analytical and organizational skills as well as pronounced project management skills to the timely and accurate processing of business incidents.
• Your profile is rounded off by excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English.
