IT Field Service Employee - Field Service Engineer in the NRW area (m/f/d)

You support the operating IT operation with regular visits to the thyssenkrupp sites to be supervised in the NRW area and at times nationwide. You secure the operation of the workplace environment on site and take over standardized measures such as provision/rollout, moving and resetting of jobs (IMACD) incl. Periphery. You install and cabling clients, printers, servers as well as active network/telephony components and document systems, environments and activities. Analyze and eliminate disturbances (1st/2nd level) and coordinate repairs or replacement of defective components. You enter the production IT (Shopfloor) incl. Support/base administration (industrial PCs, scanners, label printers, scales/terminals) as well as commissioning, relocations and OT network segments (VLAN/WLAN). In IT projects and location-related changes (e.g. rollouts, modernization of technology/server rooms), you can consult IT topics and requirements. You support near-site digitalization solutions based on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps/Power Automate) – incl. Testing, rollout, error analysis and documentation. You operate and support edge/gateway components in production environments (e.g. proxy/transfer solutions) and tax/coordinarily IT Field Service providers abroad (quality, dates, escalation).

You have a completed training as a specialist informatics or IT system businessman (m/w/d) or a comparable information technology qualification and brings very good hardware and software knowledge. You have very good knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Microsoft 365, Windows 11 (Windows 10 in legacy/transition scenarios), Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, DFS as well as Microsoft Intune (including Autopilot), plus Microsoft Azure and Endpoint Security (e.g. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint). You are familiar with network technology (TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS) and have basic knowledge of information security and data protection. You bring experience in the production environment/shopfloor or you are ready to work in quickly. You have a pronounced ownership mintset and work independently, structured and solution-oriented to the sustainable solution. You communicate clearly, explain technical facts intelligible and advise users as well as local contact persons professionally and service-oriented. You have very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing. You are flexible and mobile and have a valid class B driving permit – including willingness to work on occasional weekends in the context of projects, rollouts or modernization measures; ITIL 4 Foundation, ServiceNow/ITSM experience, Linux/Edge/Docker basics and experience in managing external service providers are also desirable.
