Electronics Technician / Test Technician (m/f/d)

The DVGW Research Centre at the Engler-Bunte-Institut is a research institute of the Deutscher Vereins des Gas- und Wasserfaches e. V. (DVGW) at Karlsruher Institut für Technology (KIT). With around 90 employees, we develop innovative solutions for Energy transition and safe and sustainable water supply. In the areas Energy Technology, Test Laboratory Gas and Water Chemistry and Water Technology together with partners from industry and research at the central energy and Water questions of tomorrow. We combine scientific excellence with practicality Application.

The Gas Test Laboratory is an integral part of the DVGW Research Centre. Check it fittings and components for their compatibility with the requirements for gaseous fuels.

Focus: Gas equipment, assembly, control, electrical safety, EMC, IP protection

Actively contribute to the energy transition – as a professionally experienced electronic (m/w/d) for Tests of fittings and components in DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited Test laboratory Gas of the DVGW Research Centre.

• Expertise in norm-based, test-technical issues • independent planning, implementation and supervision of audits • Testing of electrical and electronic product properties, e.g. EMC and electrical safety and IP protection • Documentation of test results and preparation of test protocols • Selection and use of suitable measuring means • Maintenance and calibration of test equipment • Customer monitoring tests (Germany/Europe)

• Complete vocational training as an electronics technician or a comparable qualification • Experience in testing electrotechnical products • knowledge of the operation of test equipment and software (e.g. LabVIEW) • independent operation, flexibility, reliability and loadability • Safe handling of current MS Office applications • customer orientation, safe appearance and good communication skills • Very good German and good English skills • Standing for occasional missions • Class B driving licence • knowledge of the gas and water compartment is advantageous
