At the SOS Children's Village Oberpfalz we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (19.25 hours/Where) If you are interested, we can increase your hours as part of a collaboration in our other educational offers.

The youth social work at schools is an offer of child and youth assistance, which is also set up at the special educational funding centre at the Karl-Gebhardt School in Weidenberg. The SOS Children's Village Oberpfalz is the agency. In close cooperation with the School College and the staff of the Youth Office, we offer on-site students, their parents and teachers a stand-alone contact and counselling centre. The aim is to support young people and their families in addressing social disadvantage and individual problems in the school and out-of-school environment. Our offer includes individual and family consultancy, project work, competence training and mediation in further assistance. You advise students on their individual concerns, concerns and needs, family burdens and conflicts. In parental advice, you support parents around their education issues and promote their competences to solve problems and challenges within the family. With the implementation of projects and group training you strengthen the social and communicative skills of the students. As a social-pedagogical specialist, you work closely with the school management, the teachers and the specialists of the Youth Office and other institutions. You are conscientiously implementing the protection of children and persons.

You have a degree as a social pedagogue with state recognition or a comparable university degree with multiannual professional experience. The accompaniment of children, young people and their families in challenging situations is an interesting and meaningful task for you. Consultative work prepares you for pleasure and you ideally have practical experience in social pedagogical work with children, young people and their families. You like to work independently, at the same time you see the reflection in the team as an enrichment of your work. You have a high awareness of roles so that you can make cooperation with different cooperation partners such as teachers, the Youth Office or other institutions profitable for all.
