The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) is a federal scientific and technical authority based in Berlin. Our activities in materials science, materials technology and chemistry focus on the technical safety of products and processes. The Z.7 -Bauten- Unit of BAM is the central contact for all structural and plant engineering measures on our properties in Berlin and Brandenburg. Their tasks are in technical operation and are assigned to the master area of heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology Expect as part of a 40-member interdisciplinary team You have a wide range of tasks, starting with smaller repair or maintenance work, and contributing to the planning and implementation of complex construction projects (office and laboratory buildings with partially highly specialized user-specific testing facilities) and their technical facilities. In the unit we develop demand planning for demanding construction projects, advise our scientific departments in the design of research and testing facilities and represent BAM in construction matters to ministries, construction administrations and the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA). We work together with the Construction Administration and the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks as well as various specialists to create innovative and sustainable solutions for our buildings and infrastructures. Ensuring the functional, energy-efficient and safety-compliant operation of all RLT/HLK and refrigerated equipment in research, laboratory and administrative buildings on all BAM properties Operation, operational monitoring, optimization and troubleshooting of supply systems (HLK) based on the applicable regulations and guidelines Operation and monitoring of parts of the associated building control technology Maintenance and rebuilding measures and support of all RLT / HVAC and refrigerated equipment, including specialized testing equipment, in physical and chemical laboratories Self-priming and processing of all technical tasks in operation Advising the areas of expertise in the operation of user-specific scientific devices and installations Support and acceptance of the services of foreign companies accompanying technical projects; Consultation of users in designing, if necessary Extension / conversion of systems and support in planning Documentation and archiving of SV tests and quality assurance

Successfully completed at least 3-year vocational training for the plant mechanicin for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology (SHK), plant mechanicin or mechatronics*in – refrigeration technology Existence of a plant-specific certificate Knowledge in operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis of RLT/HLK systems as well as knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines and occupational safety regulations, such as DGUV, TRGI, ASR etc. Experience in the operation of complex building and infrastructure Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and MSR technology Very good oral and written expressability in German (at least C1 level) readiness to carry out call-ready operations outside service hours and to carry out a safety check according to SÜG Class B licence for the quick access of all properties even in cases of accidents Remarkable are: Ability to work independently, carefully and reliably, and to cooperate with internal and external partners Ability and technical understanding for independent error analysis and solution finding Experience in the coordination and control of external service providers Embossed communication and information behavior Teamability and cooperation as well as the ability to keep an overview even under a high level of work
