The Fraunhofer Society aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 55% by 2030. The Fraunhofer IFAM is one of five pilot institutes operating an energy management system according to ISO 50.001. At its main location in Bremen, the IFAM has a wide range of techniques, such as e.g. a foundry technique, various additive manufacturing processes, to laboratories for the production of new battery cells or the development of new adhesives. The measures therefore cover a wide range, from the demand-oriented switching of ventilation and installations, optimization of existing domestic networks of compressed air, technical gases and cold and/or cold respectively. Heating circuits or measures for reducing consumption by, for example, targeted sun protection.

The Fraunhofer IFAM is looking for a student support in the field of "Energy Management" in Bremen to strengthen the team at the next possible time.

Here you ask for change

• Data collection based on consumption units not yet continuously recorded at the Institute
• Support for the supervision of a measuring counter system and the implementation in hardware and software at the Bremen site
• Creation of specific evaluations to assess potentials or measures already carried out
• Transfer to an automated detection and evaluation concept within an energy management system according to ISO 50.001
