Your tasks • Your profile • What we offer

The Marine of the Future is strongly connected. Whether overwater vessel, submarine, unmanned underwater vehicle – our systems need to communicate reliably. The more platforms operate at the same time, the more complex the data transmission requirements: changing distances, interference-prone channels and narrow bandwidth must be controllable. We work on the development of communication technology from signal processing at PHY level to system architecture.

Independent design, prototyping and testing of signal and sonar processing algorithms (including PHY optimization: modulation, channel coding, synchronization, Doppler compensation). Development and integration of new communications technology and Channel modeling methods to increase link performance and robustness. Working together on the overall concept of a communication and signal processing architecture and carrying out technical studies. Planning, implementation and independent evaluation of sea trials. Support in the implementation of algorithms (MATLAB, Python, C/C++) and definition of software architecture.

Higher education (M.Sc. or PhD) in electrical engineering, mathematics or physics with a focus on signaling, communication or communication technology. 3–5 years of professional experience in the field; well-founded expertise in scientific and numerical programming, very good MATLAB knowledge (Python, C/C++ of advantage). Flowing German and good English skills. Creative, independent work in the team. Clear presentation of technical results. Solution and target-oriented mode of operation while maintaining predetermined dates.

For us it is self-evident to provide optimal framework conditions. These include: Welcomeday and onboarding program Attractive tariff compensation Flexible and family-friendly working hours through sliding time/lifetime account and home office control 30 days of annual leave and special leave under collective agreement Excellent occupational pensions Exciting tasks on innovative products in a growing marine company Grant to the job ticket or Germany ticket Corporate fitness with nationwide partners Bike leasing Comprehensive additional services / attractive external offers Individual learning and development opportunities in presence and digital Comprehensive health management including prevention offers Close cooperation with executives and employees
