Leiter*in Buchhaltung / Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

Disciplinary & technical leadership: leadership and further development of the central accounting team. You promote a culture of cooperation and ensure the transfer of know-how within the group. Operational Excellence: Responsibility for financial accounting (main book, debitors, creditors, asset accounting) of the German Group companies and ensuring audit-proof consolidation of the Group including the US subsidiary. Financial security: Management and coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts according to HGB and IFRS. You are the central contact for auditors and tax advisors and participate in banking communication. International context: Control of the local financial function of the US subsidiary with regard to accounting functions. Intercompany Management: Controlling and optimising the global intercompany voting and cross-company performance calculations (transfer pricing compliance). Digital Leadership & IT Migration: Leading support of IT projects (e.g. ERP implementations or migrations) and ensuring data integrity in the accounting environment. Process optimization & innovation: Active design of the “Finance Transformation”. You drive automation forward (e.g. e-invoicing, AI-assisted document processing, automated workflows) and optimize the internal control system (IKS). Reporting: Close cooperation with the controlling to analyze deviations and create management reports. Tax Compliance: Support for tax issues (tax, income tax) in close cooperation with the tax department or external consultants.

Education: Successfully completed studies of the business economy with a focus on finance / accounting, a qualification as an International Account Holder or a comparable training. Experience: Multiannual professional experience in a leading role in accounting, ideally in an international group environment or a medium-sized group. Expertise: Deep knowledge in accounting according to HGB and IFRS. Knowledge in US-GAAP is a strong plus. IT-Affinity: Safe handling of common ERP systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle) as well as a high enthusiasm for digital tools and process automation. Soft Skills: Sovereign appearance, enforcing ability and a pronounced communication capability. You understand yourself as a mentor for your team and as a business partner for management. Languages: German and English knowledge in word and writing.
