Number: MER0003Z75 We... are ‘certification and regular safety’: As a 50-member team in Böblingen, we are responsible for the certification of all safety-relevant innovations, components and systems of our Mercedes-Benz cars and vans in close cooperation with the development and international market organisations in Beijing and Detroit. Our goal: Reconcile technology and regulations on time and thus contribute to the worldwide market success of our products. Our mission: We ensure the timely type-approval of all safety-relevant vehicle systems

On the road with the brilliant MB innovations! We help R&D in the early stage in the regular interpretation of their ideas and in the presentation of these innovations to the authorities

At the very front when new laws are created: We cooperate in their development by interacting with expert organisations and legislative authorities and working in national and international bodies

These are your tasks: You support us in our core task: the worldwide operational certification of security systems and functions according to UNECE regulations and other national regulations, for example in China, USA, Japan, South Korea and Australia. This includes the following activities: Procurement, control and processing of the necessary data and documentation for the (inter)national approval procedures

Maintenance of data and documents in internal IT systems

Creating the application documents for system permissions

Processing and providing documents for homologation in markets worldwide

Support for scheduling and tracking

Accompanying the conceptual further intensification of our certification control

Collecting and AI-appropriate preparation of rules interpretations

The activity can begin from April 2026.

A study with technical orientation, in particular the field of mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or electrical engineering. Or (economic) informatics, (economic)engineering, technical BWL or a comparable course of study.
