System Engineer – Software Distribution & Client Management (m/f/d)

System Engineer – Software Distribution & Client Management (m/w/d) Location: Mainz | Position: Full time, unlimited To support our customers, mainly from the public sector, in the automation and standardization of their IT landscape, we are looking for a System Engineer (m/w/d) with a focus on software distribution for our Professional Services department. You feel at home in client management, understand scripting as your hand tool, and have the pleasure of making processes efficient – both remotely and directly with the customer on site or in our staging area.

Product responsibility: You are an expert for at least one of the standard software distribution solutions (baramundi, Microsoft Intune/MECM or Matrix42) and promote their use with our customers. Package & Staging: You take over the creation, testing and adaptation of software packages. Process control: In large rollout projects, you support the technical process control, both remotely and physically in the preparation of the terminals in our storage/staging area. Customer projects: You implement the solutions directly in the customer environments, advise on process optimization and carry out workshops. Error analysis: You eliminate disturbances in the software distribution infrastructure and support third-level support.

Technical requirements: Software distribution: Funded project experience and deep knowledge in at least one of the products: baramundi, Microsoft MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Intune or Matrix42. Further training: The will to develop into a specialist in at least one further of these tools. Operating systems: Very good knowledge of Windows 10/11 as well as experience in the Windows server environment. Scripting: Secure application of PowerShell to automate routine tasks. Network: Basic understanding of network technologies (DHCP, DNS, PXE). Training & certifications Complete training as a specialist in system integration or a comparable IT degree. Professional experience in IT support or IT administration. Certifications: Certificates of the mentioned manufacturers (e.g. baramundi Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are of great advantage. Soft skills & personality: Readiness: You have fun working deep into complex IT landscapes and learning new technologies. Self-employment & reliability: You work structured, keep dates and take responsibility for your results – both in the office and the customer. Quality awareness: You place value on clean packaging and error-free rollout processes.
