Software Architect IT/OT Industry 4.0 for the Process Industry

Design the digital infrastructure of the future: You develop IT/OT architectures for our customers in the process industry, thereby laying the technological basis for implementing Industry 4.0 strategies. Architecture work between OT and IT: You design integrative architectures that connect production systems (e.g. SCADA, MES, SPS) with modern IT solutions (e.g. Cloud, Edge, IoT platforms) – safely, scalable and sustainable. Data models & architecture: You implement production requirements in precise data models and sophisticated architectures. Frameworks & Tools: You evaluiate the use of new frameworks, libraries and tools based on your experience and optimise existing solutions and processes. Documentation & instructions: You document proven procedures and give your colleagues helpful instructions. Impulses for our topics: You actively contribute to our consulting and solution portfolio and help with the topic IT/OT or Developing Industry 4.0 from architectural perspective.

DEIN PROFIL Funded training: Studies in, for example, computer science, automation technology, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification. Architecture experience: Multiannual experience in the development and implementation of IT or OT architectures – ideally in the process industry (chemistry, steel, etc.). IT/OT competence: You know both the world of OT systems (e.g. SPS, MES, SCADA) and the IT requirements and technologies (e.g. cloud, APIs, data platforms, microservices). Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies: You bring experience with modern technologies and standards in the environment IIoT, Edge, REST, Containerization or Hybrid Cloud. Cloud experience: Ideally you have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Angular. Programming skills: Ideally you master Java or .NET and are interested in developing you in Java. KI competence: You have in-depth AI expertise, actively shape their responsible commitment in your area of responsibility and act as an enabler for customers and internally at adesso. Language knowledge: Very good German and good English skills
