Senior Consultant (m/w/d)

For our state-of-the-art internal intensive care unit F21A, we are looking for motivated and committed nurses (m/w/d) who want to devote themselves to the demanding care of ECMO patients. With 19 modern beds, our station F21A is a central point of contact for highly complex intensive care. Our station plays a special role in the Klinikum Stuttgart: As the only station we put the emergency team and are also focused on the specialized supply of ECMO patients. Your task field includes:

• Care and monitoring of critically ill intensive patients:inside, especially ECMO patients.
• Operation, monitoring and co-operation of ECMO systems (e.g. for Veno-venöser or Veno-arterieller ECMO)
• Cooperation with other occupational groups (ECMO occupational group (e.g. cardio technicians, breathing therapy?)
• Documentation and quality management in ECMO
• Designing care processes, SOPs and evidence-based standards
• Support and monitoring of our patients: in diagnostic and therapeutic measures
• Preserving basic and treatment care and carrying out care interventions on a medical arrangement
• Patient care and monitoring: before and after intervention
• Pre- and post-operative care and monitoring
• Implementation and monitoring of infusion therapies
• Detection of emergency situations and independent start of reanimation measures
• Control of pain therapy
• The monitoring and care of the patients: inside and dehumidification of the respirator
• Assessment and monitoring of vital parameters and spontaneous breathing and detection of respiratory disorders
• Continuous renal replacement procedures
• Control of wounds and implementation of needs-based association changes
• Planning and organization of the daily workflow
• Cooperative cooperation with other professional groups
• compliance with hygiene and accident prevention regulations
• Planning, implementation and evaluation of care measures including care concepts and expert standards
• Psychosocial care of the patient:inside and consulting the relatives

Your qualifications: • You are examinated nursing (m/w/d) with and without further training in anaesthesia and intensive care

• Knowledge of how to use ECMO systems is desirable (e.g. training, experience with ECMO systems)
• You have organizational competence and responsibility
• You have comprehensive nursing and social skills and enjoy the profession
