The European Academy of Work at the University of Frankfurt am Main is supported as a foundation by the German Trade Union Federation, the Land of Hessen and the City of Frankfurt am Main and is a pioneer of academic workers:internal education. For more than 100 years, we have been designing educational paths as an innovative teaching and research institution at all stages of professional life, regardless of the school career of our students. Our goal is to strengthen people professionally and enable them to actively shape the life and working world in the sense of a just and democratic society. The focus is on our 11-month course in which students analyze the working world from different professional perspectives in an interdisciplinary manner. Our library has about 30,000 volumes and magazines from the social science literature as well as a modern reading room. It is also part of the Hebis library network for scientific libraries in Hessen. We are looking for a:n library employee:in (m/w/d) part-time (20 hours per week). .

Own care of our OPL library Management and maintenance of library resources and cataloguing and maintenance of the library system Support in the user service (library, information, user care) Advising students, teachers and researchers in research and literature procurement Implementation of internal library usage training Willingness to participate in cross-organisational tasks and the further development of internal processes

Completed relevant vocational training (e.g. specialist for media and information services, book trade, archiving) or a comparable qualification or multiannual relevant professional experience in the library or information sector Good IT knowledge and safe handling of digital applications, experience with Hebis – RDA application or Library systems of advantage Interest in library work processes and information exchange Service-oriented appearance and joy in working with different target groups and students Team skills and hands-on mentality
