Strategischer Einkäufer / Strategic Purchaser in Esslingen (m/f/d)

As a strategic buyer (m/w/d), you are responsible for the development and implementation of product group strategies for electric motors, rotor/stator assemblies and other electromechanical components. You conduct international supplier management processes, ensure competitiveness, quality and delivery performance and actively shape the company's long-term procurement strategy.

Strategic responsibility Development, implementation and continuous development of the product group strategy for electric motors and electromechanical assemblies. Analysis of global procurement markets, identification of new suppliers and evaluation of technological trends. Implementation of make-or-buy analyses as well as cost structure and TCO considerations. Supplier management Construction, qualification and strategic development of international supplier portfolios. Implementation of supplier audits in cooperation with quality assurance and engineering. Negotiating framework agreements, prices, delivery conditions and strategic partnerships. Operational and tactical purchasing processes Support in escalation of delivery performance and control of critical suppliers. Participation in the optimization of supply chain structures and risk management processes. Close cooperation with disposition, production, engineering, product management and quality. Technology and Product Knowledge Working in interdisciplinary development projects (e.g. Cost Down, Re-Design-to-Cost, Supplier Innovation). Industrialization and ramp-up support for new engines or assemblies. Cost & Project Management Implementation of benchmarks, cost analyses (e.g., should costing) and identification of savings potentials. Management or participation in global purchasing and optimization projects. Ensuring the achievement of cost, quality and delivery targets.

Professional qualifications Multiannual professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the electric motor, drive or automation industry. Funded understanding of electric motors, electromagnetic assemblies and their manufacturing processes (e.g. winding technologies, laminated packages, casting processes). Experience in international supplier management and contract negotiations. Competences & Soft Skills Very good analytical and problem-solving skills and sovereign negotiation skills. Embossed technical affinity and understanding of value creation processes. High level of responsibility and flexibility Team and communication skills in the interdisciplinary environment. Secure handling of ERP systems (SAP o. ä.) and MS Office. German and English skills.
