Demand Manager (m/f/d)

Your duties We are building a structured demand management from scratch — and we are looking for someone who not only manages this process, but influences the content. You take responsibility for the entire demand pipeline: from the first idea in the disciplines to the formal approval in the project portfolio or the product pipeline. This role is not an administrative position. You are the central hub between disciplines, project organization, internal development and test management — and you make clear, priority projects from vague requirements. Your specific tasks are: You build the demand management process from scratch — including methodology, templates, assessment criteria and tooling. You define how requirements are captured, evaluated and prioritized. You actively support specialist areas in formulating their requirements: You perform requirements workshops, help sharpen business cases, and make sure that requirements are complete, conflict-free and decision-making. You act as a Quality Gate in the project approval process: You check completeness, strategic fit, resource assessment and risk assessment before a project is submitted to the bodies. Vulnerable applications are coming back. You work closely with internal development in order to assess technical feasibility early and to formulate requirements according to development — not only after approval. You coordinate with the test management so that testability and acceptance criteria are already included at demand level. You control ongoing demand in the portfolio: status tracking, escalation management, prioritization changes and communication to stakeholders. You develop reporting structures for management — transparent, meaningful and without a soft drawing.

Completed studies or training and multiannual professional experience in the construction, operation and management of demand management processes — as a controller, not only as a participant Quality Gate experience in project approval processes, including rejection or return of incomplete applications Knowledge of classical and agile project management methods (Prince2, PMI, Scrum, etc.) Experience in cooperation with software development teams in the IT environment of a medium to large company Embossed documentation strength — you can prepare complex issues structuredly and prepare them for different target groups Tool knowledge: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow or comparable Demand/Portfolio tools IREB certifications are explicitly desired and advantageous German language skills and good English skills in word and writing complete your profile You do not meet all the requirements, but you like our place?
