Team Leader Testing Laboratory (m/f/d)

The DVGW Research Centre at the Engler-Bunte-Institut is a research institute of the German Association of Gas and Water Sciences (DVGW) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). With around 90 employees, we develop innovative solutions for the energy transition and secure and sustainable water supply. In the fields of energy technology, testing laboratory gas, water chemistry and water technology, we work together with partners from industry and research on the central energy and water issues of tomorrow. We combine scientific excellence with practical application. The Gas Test Laboratory is an integral part of the DVGW Research Centre. It examines materials in relation to their compatibility with the requirements for gaseous fuels. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated and professionally versed team management materials (m/w/d) for our DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited test laboratory gas.

Focus: Non-metallic materials | DAkkS accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of about 10 employees Test technical responsibility for type and monitoring testing of non-metallic materials (including elastomers, sealing materials) as a basis for certification Supporting our global customer base with a focus on Germany and Europe Cooperation in national and European bodies Ensuring and further developing quality management and work safety Responsibility for budget and cost planning in close coordination with department management Strategic development of the test laboratory and its technical orientation for the co-design of the energy transition: development of new test methods and development of new fields of application (e.g. H2, DME), also within the framework of research projects

Completed studies in the field of engineering and natural science Multiannual professional experience in testing, laboratory management and ideal certification Multiannual, detectable experience in the leadership of employees Embossed customer orientation, sovereign appearance and very good communication skills Very good knowledge of German and English Standing for occasional missions knowledge of the gas and water compartment desirable Self-functioning, flexibility, reliability and durability
