Public Cloud Engineer (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities SIGNAL IDUNA plans to further expand the cloud platform and infrastructure and is looking for experienced and highly motivated IT specialists in the cloud environment. As a public cloud engineer, you drive the cloud transformation and are responsible for the technological design, implementation and support of the operation. You work in an agile, interdisciplinary team with the opportunity to develop your own skills and skills.

Your main tasks are:

• Creation, implementation and optimization of framework concepts for cloud-based infrastructures and applications
• You design, support and operate cloud architectures as part of our workload migrations in the Google Cloud
• Further development and continuous improvement of the Google Cloud Platform and our Kubernetes platform based on GKE in the Google Cloud, from conception to development, testing and implementation to smooth operation
• Establishing standardized processes and consulting in the implementation and commissioning of workloads
• Participation in the development and implementation of cloud security concepts
• You use modern methods for automation, deployment (CI/CD) and further development of complex infrastructures and services in the public cloud

You

• has a completed IT degree or a comparable qualification with IT competence
• have experience in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, preferably GCP) and infrastructure and platform services based on it
• have profound experience in cloud infrastructures in an enterprise environment and their stable and secure operation with at least one cloud provider
• has cloud certifications in the best case, but we are happy to train you in this respect (the willingness to participate in training is important)
• ideally have experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Configuration Management Tools such as Ansible or Puppet and have already gained experience in the administration and operation of Kubernetes clusters, (if best proven by certifications (e.g. CKA, CKAD))
• has knowledge of industrial standards, guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements, and experience in the insurance and financial environment is desirable
• has a strong communication and team skills and excellent knowledge of the German language
