Team Leader Optical Design (m/f/d)

Disciplinary and professional leadership of the optics design team as well as promotion and development of up to 10 employees (8 optics design / 2 software) Professional coaching of employees General responsibility for optical design, tolerance analysis and optimization of complex optical systems (e.g. high-performance imaging optics with integrated lighting systems, laser scanner and high-performance FTheta systems) Introduction and implementation of processes, methods and tools in the field of optical design and quality monitoring of work results Implementation of the product roadmap in the field of optical design in close coordination with the management and product management, e.g. in the form of design studies Guidance and support in the implementation of the software roadmap in the field of optical design Close, interdisciplinary cooperation with adjacent departments such as construction (optomechanics), software development, metrology and manufacturing

Successfully completed studies (Uni/TH/FH) as a natural scientist, mathematician or engineer Promotion of Benefit Long-term professional experience and proven expertise in the optical design of high-performity optical systems as well as broad knowledge of other development disciplines (construction, measurement technology, industrialization, manufacturing) International Networking in Optics Design Community Routinized handling of optics design software (especially ZEMAX and Code V) Multiannual programming experience in Matlab or Python, moreover programming experience in VBA, C, C++ or C# desirable Good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English Responsibility and high level of commitment Customer-oriented, targeted, systematic and independent working style Excellent team skills and communication strength readiness for international travel
