Telecommunications / Data Network Technician (m/w/d)

We are looking for the Office for Digitization, Organisation and IT of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay. The “Data Network passive” team in the field of data networks and telecommunications plans and implements the passive network infrastructure of the state capital Stuttgart. We accompany projects from demand determination to implementation – with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. We work closely with internal departments and external service providers. Our basis are modern technologies and standards such as DIN EN 50173/50174. This ensures reliable and powerful IT networking for offices and businesses.

Thanks to you, our networks remain stable because you execute patch jobs in the data network and ensure connections You install VoIP phones, program them, deliver them and take them into operation You can also master classic technology by setting up analogue devices such as telephones, doorphones or fax machines You expand the infrastructure by implementing small laying in passive network technology When dismantling, you will show precision when you disassemble terminals or cable paths professionally Weak current distributors process you confidently and ensure a clean documentation of the new infrastructure and all changes in the data network You create overview by clearly labeling components such as cabinets and cans and maintaining warehouse management in the FNT system Problems go to solution-oriented by identifying and troubleshooting error sources in the network or developing suitable solution suggestions A change or addition of the task area is reserved.

A completed training as an IT system electronics company, specialist informatics/in system integration or comparable IT/TK-related training Knowledge of the installation and programming of VoIP systems as well as the construction of classic TK and network technology You have experience in handling passive network technology, such as cable laying, patch panels or weak current distributors You work carefully, reliably and document technical changes conscientiously In addition, you have craftsmanship and technical understanding of the construction and degradation of TK and network technology Knowledge of the use of documentation and management systems (e.g. FNT) is desirable.
