The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Sachsen is a combination of differentiated offers in the stationary, outpatient and open areas at various locations in Zwickau and Leipzig. In addition to the fully-stationary offers, the facility includes three kitas, a children's and youth centre and a multi-generation home/family centre. For our SOS Children's Village Sachsen we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in full time (38,5 hours/Where.)

As a pedagogical specialist in a group of 8 children aged 7 to 13 years, you play a central role in their support and development. Together with a dedicated team, you create a reliable place of life where children experience protection, promotion and perspectives. Their pedagogical action is based on the individual needs and resources of young people – supported by empathy, expertise and structure. You serve young people in a housing group and create a safe, stable environment for their development. You contribute to education and assistance planning and document them in our electronic case files. We require an esteeming cooperation with the members of the source system (corresponding to the guideline of the SOS-Kinderdorf e.V.) and the specialist service of the children's village. In close coordination with the relevant departmental management, you work with schools, doctors and therapists to coordinate and implement individual funding targets. The team’s transparent and co-operative cooperation, cooperation in team consulting and team-wide consultations and supervisions are important to you. You accompany the children and young people in conflict situations and support them in the development of appropriate behaviour strategies. You provide support for school challenges to achieve learning goals and promote personal development. You design varied leisure and group activities that promote community sense and individual skills alike. You promote the emotional development and social skills of children and young people. You pay attention to the conscientious implementation of child and care protection.

You have a degree as an educator*in with state recognition, also with additional qualification HPZ. You show team skills and communication strength. Commitment and readiness to learn characterize your work. You can master shift and weekend work with flexibility. Class B's driving licence makes you mobile. You're sure to handle digital tools. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
