We are looking for a passionate cloud database engineer who is willing to take responsibility and to create innovative PostgreSQL database services together with us. In close cooperation with our Kubernetes team, you will be at the top of the technology and implement your solutions in our private clouds. In addition, you work hand in hand with different departments at CGM, which will use your expertise for development, quality assurance and operation. Your post: Construction and operation of PostgreSQL database services on Kubernetes: You are responsible for the setup and smooth operation of PostgreSQL databases in our Kubernetes environment to ensure reliable data availability.

Automation in rollout and operation (GitOps, IaC): You develop and implement automated processes for rollout and management of our database solutions, using modern approaches such as GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Cooperation with the Managed Kubernetes team: You work closely with the managed Kubernetes team to ensure that our database solutions are optimally integrated into the Kubernetes infrastructure.

Provision of updates and new versions: You are responsible for the careful planning and implementation of updates, security patches and new product versions to guarantee a continuous improvement and security of our database services.

Build additional database services on our cloud platforms: You actively contribute to the development and optimization of additional database services on our cloud platforms.

That's what you bring: Successfully completed IT training or studies, e.g. specialist in system integration (m/w/d), computer science, cloud computing or similar

Knowledge of how to use PostgreSQL databases and Kubernetes.

First experience worked with PostgreSQL HA solution, as well as passion and enthusiasm for Linux and OpenStack

Very good knowledge of German and English
