The Medical University of Lausitz - Carl Thiem is a young university medicine and the largest employer in Cottbus with around 1,200 beds and nearly 3,000 employees from more than 40 countries. The Pneumology section has 20 beds. Here, all respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive diseases, interstitial lung diseases and tumors of the bronchi and lungs are treated according to the latest medical knowledge. Since the 1990s, the Cottbus Lungenklinik has also been a Sarkoidosis Center for pulmonary and extrapulmonary forms. Another large field of treatment is the pulmonary infectious diseases, e.g. the lung tuberculosis or the outpatient and hospitalized acquired pneumonia. Pneumology has a modern pneumological functional laboratory as well as a bronchoscopy department set up according to the latest standards. Furthermore, a sleeping laboratory with two stationary places is set up. We are looking for you as a specialist (m/w/d) for pneumology. Your area of responsibility Patient care: Individually responsible diagnostics and treatment of stationary and outpatient patients with pneumological diseases Further development: Active participation and conceptual further development of the pneumological section as well as modern treatment and care concepts Support: Relieving in administrative and organizational tasks through structured processes and an experienced team Science: Participation in research and teaching as well as the possibility to develop your own scientific training Approbation: You have a German approval and very good German knowledge (C1 level medicine). Experience/scientific orientation: Multiannual activity in pneumology. A completed doctorate or an existing doctoral agreement is required. Alternatively, we offer the possibility of doctoral studies within the framework of our institution. Scientific interest and commitment in teaching are explicitly welcomed.
