Product Owner / Platform Engineer Mainframe DB2 (m/f/d)

You are a professional system platform engineer in the DB2 environment, and you can take the role Product Owner as a professional team leader in the Agile Release Trains (ART) “Platforms and Infrastructure” together with the product manager towards the relevant business owner and the demanding customers from the DevSecOps-ARTs within the R+V IT. Ideally, you already have experience in professional leadership and agile work. You are responsible for a stable and economical operation of the central z/OS database systems including the associated additional products. Your tasks include the installation, configuration and maintenance of necessary database addition products. You are responsible for providing and trouble-free operation of the database procedures such as backup, recovery, recovery, etc. In coordination with the DevSecOps developers, you perform object changes in the test, acceptance and production environments. As Product Owner, you are responsible for the technical solutions for the databases of our Mainframe platform Together with the architects, the product manager and the other product owners of the ART, you master the balancing act between innovation and modernization, thereby creating operational responsibility with a high degree of self-initiative. You follow the goal for the basic components of the mainframe platform to ensure safe, economical and stable operation today and in the future. From our IT strategy, you’re taking a vision for the solutions you’re responsible, developing a roadmap and understanding the defined target in ART and our IT customers. This includes the effective use and control of the employees together with the People Lead. You are the link of the team, promote cooperation and prioritise the topics together with the team and the Scrum Master.

You have a high technical expertise in the DB2 environment. You have experience – ideally as a product owner – in the mainframe environment. In exchange, you show good communication skills and give a positive spirit. You have an inspiring ability and you can easily convey target images. Own responsibility and initiative are not foreign words for you. Agile methods make you fun; You have experience in their adaptation and application. You bring very good German knowledge in word and writing (at least B2).
