Head of the Department of Building Technology (m/f/d)

In this position, you take over the management of BVG's technical building management and bear comprehensive responsibility for the operation, safety and further development of modern building technology. Together with your teams, you will realize challenging new and existing projects, develop innovative technical solutions and take a central role as a contractor representation with high design and decision-making space. You are responsible for the safe, efficient and functional operation of BVG's technical facilities – with the exception of subway and tram lines. These include, in particular, maintenance, inspection and repair of building equipment (heating, air conditioning, ventilation, sanitation, MSR). Together with your teams, you develop, evaluate and test forward-looking technical solutions and develop intelligent control and system solutions for building systems. When planning, controlling and implementing repair and renewal projects, you take over the building function and implement the requirements of quality management across all performance phases according to HOAI. Your focus is on efficiency and sustainability. As an experienced manager, you conduct three specialist teams with the focus on disruption, maintenance and construction management and run a total of about 50 employees. You develop structures, processes and strategies for efficient and sustainable project management.

completed scientific studies* (Master or Diploma University) of the Department of Supply Technology, Building Technology, Facility Management or equivalent skills and knowledge based on a long-term professional experience Knowledge of the relevant statutory and technical regulations, including Federal Immission Protection Act, AwSV/VAwS, hygiene regulations and fire protection requirements. In addition we look forward to an appraisal and integrative leadership style, with which you motivate employees, guide heterogeneous teams in a sovereign manner and equip your leadership.
