We stand for a safe and performant operation of the infrastructure, for the fulfillment of the relevant legal standards, for the feasibility of costs, for economic efficiency and IT consulting. In the field of basic infrastructure, our team is responsible for the SAN including storage and the mainframe. A collegial team awaits you in which cooperation is based on respect and trust. Daily changing tasks and exciting projects are on the agenda. We are looking for a new colleague for the Würzburg location (preferably) or Berlin.

As part of our team, you will ensure that the technical base of our data center is reliable and performant. You maintain the central storage and Linux systems on which our applications and data are safely and stable. In detail: You keep the storage infrastructure running: You install, configure and operate SAN components (Broadcom directors and access switches) as well as storage systems from Hitachi (G5500) and Fujitsu (DX200 incl. Quorum / GAD). You ensure that data flows work smoothly and systems are connected with a high performance. You always have a look at the systems: Monitoring, error analysis and troubleshooting are part of your everyday life – you recognize bottlenecks early, react routined to system messages and ensure stable availability in 24/7 operation. You actively shape the IT operation with: You plan and document operations, perform adjustments and optimizations and introduce your ideas into projects such as hardware and software refreshes. You think in automation: With your own scripts (e.g. Shell or Python) you support the automation of routine tasks and thus increase efficiency and quality in daily operation. You respect security and standards: All activities are subject to BSI requirements and actively contribute to the implementation and control of IT security measures. You are part of a reliable team: Changes take over early and late shifts (between 6 – 6 pm) as well as occasional call readiness. Three to four times a year, you will travel to other locations within Germany to accompany projects on site and network with the team.

You are a reliable, structured and solution-oriented personality with passion for complex infrastructures and stable IT processes. Also bring: a completed higher education (Bachelor/Diplom/FH) in the IT sector, a successful completion of a comparable IT qualification, a successful completion of a vocational training in the IT sector with additional, at least 3-year relevant professional experience, or you have comparable practical experience in the IT sector with additional, at least 3-year relevant professional experience first professional experience in installing and configuring Linux servers (ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux) knowledge of SAN/Storage systems or the willingness to work deep into these topics You work independently, structured and solution-oriented – and always keep the service quality in mind Willingness to call and occasional weekend or night work, as well as occasional missions, as described in the task You have good knowledge of German (at least B2-level) and strong communication skills in word and writing - we are happy to help you develop your language skills.
