Project Engineer Superstructure at the Port Railway

The project control unit Oberbau is responsible for the control and management of demanding new construction and expansion projects of track systems as part of the basic repair. In doing so, you will arrange for a smooth project run from planning to awarding to successful implementation.

You control and conduct new construction and extension projects of track systems and bear the full responsibility for the content, timing and financial matters. Your tasks include coordination of all subject-specific requirements, bundling of HPA contributions and controlling external partners. You plan the project process, monitor operations and set targets. In addition, you will oversee the construction performance in terms of quality, dates and contracts and ensure documentation and inventory data management. You determine the project volume, taking into account budget, technical specifications and expert opinions, prepare awards and execute them until the contract is awarded. You carry out a continuous cost control, monitor the flow of funds according to the progress of the building and set up medium forecasts. Your task also includes the assessment of technical and legal developments as well as innovations for the harbour railway.

You have completed a university degree (Bachelor/Diplom FH) in the field of civil engineering and can demonstrate various training and qualifications in the railway industry. In-depth knowledge in the construction, railway operation, construction and project management are the key to you. In addition, you bring basic business knowledge. You have a high level of technical safety in the superstructure and in project work and are able to control and prioritize complex tasks independently. In addition, you take responsibility and can safely represent your technical decisions to internal and external project participants. You have negotiating skills, assertiveness and analytical thinking.
