The Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung e. V. (DAV) is the central professional association for actuaries – based in the heart of Cologne. With around 7,000 members, we design the standards for academic education and training, represent the professional interests of our members and promote the exchange between science, practice and politics. Our team Our office in Cologne is an agile team of around 50 colleagues, which coordinates association work, education and training, events and professional publications. Design & Coordination: You accompany specialist topics in the fields of insurance and finance and coordinate committees and working groups with specialist experts from practice. Standard development: You contribute to the further development of professional standards that decisively shape the industry. Consulting & Networking: You work with the experts of the DAV and top decision-makers in the industry. For our members, you will be the first respondent and bring different perspectives together. Public relations & communication: You are professionally supporting the association's press and communication work. Further development of services: You actively participate in the offers for (coming) members, develop interesting concepts for new projects in the team and advance innovation.

You have an economic or mathematical degree (e.g. BWL, VWL, economic mathematics, financial sciences) or bring professional experience in the care of volunteer bodies in associations, institutions or other organisations with or Acting as a scientific employee at a university or teaching as a teacher for mathematics or business. You are interested in the insurance and financial sector, even if you have not previously worked in the industry. Their work is characterised by high self-employment and acceptance of responsibility. Always keep an overview. You understand themselves as service providers in cooperation with the members in committees and working groups. Complex facts can be understood and vivid. English language skills and the safe handling of MS Office are of course for you.
