Head of Shipping (m/f/d)

Responsibility for the shipping area as well as the further development of the area at our Düren site Discipline and professional leadership of our shipping team Disposition, coordination and time monitoring of air, land and sea transport Freight purchase Ensuring compliance with customs and external economic requirements Monitoring and optimization of internal shipping policies Advice and support of the departments and the foreign sites in transport, foreign and customs matters Coordination of import and export shipments from/to third countries Invoicing and production of goods accompanying documents (Part-)Project Responsibility for Strategic Projects of the Global GKD Organisation

Successfully completed commercial vocational training (e.g. industrial businessman/woman, merchant/wife for forwarding and logistics services, merchant/wife for wholesale and foreign trade management specialist foreign trade) or a comparative specialist training At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position with an ISO9001 certified industrial company First management experience Good knowledge of customs and foreign trade law Knowledge gained in the fields of freight purchase, sales tax law of advantage Good communication skills with internal and external contacts Embossed service orientation Hands-On Mentality Good MS Office knowledge and experience in handling a goods management system (preferably SAP) Where possible relevant training of procedures of import and export for goods and services of renowned suppliers (e.g. IHK) Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
