Head of Type Testing Coordination Center (m/f/d)

As Head of the Airworthiness Office (m/w/d), you assume the overall responsibility for all licensing and detection activities within the framework of civil and military aviation programs and act as a central interface to the national and international aviation authorities. Your duties include: Administrative coordination and verification: main contact partner for competent authorities, including ensuring correct verification and reporting on flight tests and certification processes (e.g. LOI, LTA, AD). Monitoring the rules: monitoring and implementation of relevant rules for development (e.g. Part 21, Part-IS, military standards) and ensuring the updating of manuals and certification documents. Cooperation with Authorisation Processes: Cooperation with Authorities in the definition of certification and approval requirements for pattern approval processes, including the creation and maintenance of proof documents and handbooks (POH, ICA, Vendor Docs etc.). Consultation and support of the development team: consultation of all departments on issues of airworthiness, operational suitability and environmental protection, and the implementation of audits and experimental programmes. Ensuring the quality of documents: testing and release of proof documents and documentation to ensure that all regulatory requirements for airworthiness and environmental protection are met. Administration of approval documents and approvals: management of the approval of flight conditions, “Permit to Fly”, NTOs and Repair Design Approvals and their documentation. Fault and incident analysis: analysis and processing of incidents, disturbances and failures, including communication with the Authority on necessary security measures or airworthiness instructions. International cooperation: support for international authorisation projects and validations, including cooperation with authorities worldwide.

Complete technical university studies in the field of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or comparable engineering Multiannual professional experience in the development, admission or demonstration within an air carrier or an authority – preferably with direct responsibility for model authorisations Knowledge of relevant regulations (Part 21, Part-IS, and MIL regulations) and proven experience in the application of these regulations in the development and certification environment Expressed analytical and systemic thinking to assess complex technical, regulatory and organisational relationships – combined with high decision-making and responsibility Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in dealing with national and international aviation authorities and interdisciplinary project teams High integrity, readiness and reliability in safety-critical decision-making processes – combined with precise, structured and solution-oriented operation
