Head (w/m/d) German Federal Competence Center ammunition – full-time or part-time, EG 15 (TVöD Bund)

for the construction and control of the BKZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN). The ZUG is a non-profit federal company with around 1,000 employees at the locations Berlin, Bonn, Cottbus and Rostock. We implement national and international funding programmes on behalf of the Federal Government, operate competence centres and knowledge platforms. The Federal Competence Center ammunition mining (BKZ) is to be created at the new Rostock site. The immediate programme “Munitionsaltlasten in Nord und Ostsee” is intended to recover and destroy up to 1.6 million tonnes of World War ammunition from the seabed. The Federal Competence Centre is to coordinate the development and construction of a world's first floating industrial plant for the recovery of ammunition at sea. You are responsible for building the BKZ, the technical structures and expertise as well as the planning and implementation of the technical and strategic objectives agreed with the client. You take over the disciplinary leadership and personnel development of the employees directly assigned to you, their overall technical management and promotion of a good working environment. You have the overall responsibility for the implementation of tasks and processes in the field, including the control of the progress of work and the appointment. You represent the BKZ together with the topics concerned in the political and technical environment and extend the network. You are contact persons for the clients in the Ministry of the respective topics. You support the management in the development and implementation of the corporate strategy.

Completed academic studies, preferably in marine, environmental or engineering, chemistry or a comparable degree programme Funded expertise in ammunition mining in maritime contexts Knowledge of German administrative structures in the area of coast, marine environment or disaster protection Knowledge of the legal framework for combat remedy elimination and marine protection (ideally SeeUmwVerhV, HELCOM agreements, OSPAR) Detectable experience in dealing with political institutions ideally with experience in decision-making and work processes at ministerial level well-founded leadership experience with disciplinary leadership, ability to motivate employees excellent communication and cooperation capability, organizational talent and above-average commitment, gender and diversity competence English knowledge in word and writing Standing for occasional missions
