At the Lean & Green @ VAN/OPE team, you are working on key issues relating to sustainable production, resource efficiency and transformation in the global production network of Mercedes-Benz Vans. Together with works and specialist areas, we develop measures to reduce energy, water and CO2 consumption, drive green production initiatives and support the transformation towards sustainable and efficient production at Mercedes-Benz Vans. Your tasks During your practice semester, you can help our team:

Working in international green production projects

Analysis of sustainability indicators such as energy consumption, water consumption and waste

Support in the development and implementation of sustainability measures in the works

Preparation and implementation of workshops, meetings and management appointments

Preparation of presentations, evaluations and decision templates

Working with Green Production Standards

Support in the digitization and automation of processes

Cooperation with production plants in Germany, Poland, Spain and the USA

The activity can begin from September 2026.

Studies in the field of economic engineering / sustainability management / environmental technology / production technology / mechanical engineering / energy technology / business management with technical focus or comparable degree programme

Interest in sustainability, production and transformation

Analytical and Structured Operation

Secure handling of MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel) & MS Teams

First experiences with Power BI, data analysis or AI applications are advantageous

Team capability and will for open, cross-departmental cooperation in the multi-site team

Very good German and English knowledge required, Spanish/Polish knowledge of advantage
