You will monitor the current research results in sensor perception and fusion with a focus on Lidar Perception. You will develop new algorithm approaches based on the latest state-of-the-art machine learning concepts and integrate them into our next gene ADAS stack. You will train and validate the algorithms based on large datasets in our own cloud infrastructure.

An above-average degree (Master, MBA or PhD) in engineering, information technology, physics, mathematics or a comparable scientific study programme Knowledge of state-of-the-art machine learning concepts for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Perception and Fusion Systems Knowledge about Lidar sensors and Lidar Perception algorithms also under challenging environmental conditions Very good and practically proven programming skills in Python and C++ Practical experience with Docker, PyTorch and Cloud-based ML infrastructure, such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Cuda programming knowledge and experience in vehicle integration are advantageous Maximum 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies) At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work & travel) are of advantage Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends We appreciate applicants who show a strong social sense of responsibility Excellent English skills (C1) are required, German skills (C level) are advantageous You are motivated to help shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility Strong interpersonal and communicative skills, coupled with exceptional analytical skills You show strong team skills and motivate others to achieve their goals We look forward to your online application.
