Senior Occupational Safety Specialist / Senior EHS Specialist - FaSi or Sifa (all genders)

For our Sort Center in Germany we are looking for a support: Senior Professional for Safety / Senior EHS Specialist – FaSi or Sifa (all genders) This position can be occupied at one of our Sortation Centers in Germany and includes approx. 20% travel activity. In this function, you are proactive for the safety and health of all employees: in the docking and yard operations in the Sort Centers. Through the integration of stakeholders and cooperation in projects, you can do something about multiple sites. By proactively addressing security processes and quality standards, you can create a safe working environment and a culture where security is at first place. As a Senior EHS specialist, you implement and monitor security protocols while supporting important stakeholders in the areas of operation, transport and third-party providers. You work closely with regional teams to ensure that safety standards are kept consistent, manage improvement projects and reduce risks throughout the network. Your role is crucial for the development and maintenance of a security culture that extends across our entire Sortation network and which has a positive impact on the well-being of our employees, partners and service providers About the team Our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is essential to keep Amazon’s fast delivery promises. Investigation of the security performance in the yard and dock area at a national level using defined KPIs and creation of plans to improve processes Analysis of safety indicators and trends in incidents to control resource allocation and prioritise improvement efforts Implementation of national audits to ensure compliance with safety rules, focusing on yard operations and security standards for the dock. Conducting cross-functional projects to solve systemic security problems in cooperation with different stakeholders Provision of expert advice on the safety of yard and dock areas and support for continuous improvement and the launch of new sites Standardization of security protocols for yard and dock operation throughout the Sortation Network Promoting a security culture through cooperation with the local leadership level and implementing initiatives to change specific behaviour patterns Support for the development of training materials and programmes to improve safety awareness in the yard and dock areas Investigation of incidents, implementation of causes analyses and implementation of prevention measures

A Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Certification as “Safety for Work” (Sifa Certificate) Including professional experience as a specialist in occupational safety or in a similar field of work and in project management Advanced knowledge of German and advanced English in word and writing (report line to the regional manager based in UK!) Understanding German Environmental and Industrial Protection Acts You are able to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously A supraregional travel activity of approx. 20% is fine for you Preferred qualifications: Insufficient experience in compliance with local occupational health rules Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen Methods Qualifications or experience in sustainability Insufficient experience in communication with a variety of stakeholders, including colleagues and management levels Knowledge of transport
