Development Engineer – X-Ray Microfocus Tubes (m/f/d)

Development and construction of microfocus X-ray tubes and their components up to series maturity Simulation of electrostatic high-voltage fields, of electron trajectories (particle tracing) in electrostatic or electromagnetic fields, as well as heat transport and thermal expansion with COMSOL Multiphysics Verification and validation of simulations and optimization of results Data analysis, development of new technical concepts and their implementation together with the team at product level Planning and implementation of experimental investigations

Graduate degree in physics, preferably with a focus on applied or technical physics Knowledge or study focus in at least one of the following areas: electron optics, high-voltage technology, vacuum technology, experimental physics, electron microscopy or X-ray-based measurement methods Practical experience in multi-physical simulation is advantageous (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS, CST, SIMION or comparable) Experience with modern CAD systems (preferably Inventor 3D) Interest in developing complex physical systems – from simulation to standard implementation Embossed self-motivation and high commitment Structured, independent and pragmatic mode of operation Teamability and good communication skills Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
