The focus of this role lies in the technical location management and the responsibility of all engineering tasks within a building. You are responsible for the management of the technical team including the establishment of a safety culture at the highest level. You ensure high plant availability for the site and work closely with the European Engineering Team to promote future growth. In addition, you drive the implementation of cross-network improvement initiatives and the implementation of new standards at your location.

Key job responsibilities

• Total responsibility for the maintenance team as well as for all automated sorting and conveyor systems, industrial trucks and building equipment.
• Ensuring the highest possible availability of all systems and implementing modern maintenance approaches such as Condition Based Maintenance (CBM).
• Ensuring interlayer disorder elimination on all technical systems.
• Implementation of all necessary safety standards and a proactive safety culture in the team.
• Promoting a permanent development of all team members in the field of hard and soft skills to support the growth of Amazon operations.
• Development of concepts for the continuous optimization of all systems according to the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Developing strategic decisions as a member of the location management.
• Management and support of technical Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Planning and compliance with the maintenance and maintenance budget for the site.
• Evaluation of relevant KPIs for analysis of technical systems and internal processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced knowledge of German and English in word and writing
• Complete university studies (Bachelor) or experience with Amazon
• Experience in employee management and performance management
• Experience in the field of sales or production with relevant knowledge in mechanics or electrical engineering
• Experience in facility management, office organization, administrative corporate services or hospitality management
• readiness to work in flexible working hours/shifts/working areas, including weekends, night shifts and/or holidays PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in the design review process for the integration of electrical, mechanical and automation solutions to increase plant reliability and standardization
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and their controls, electrical and electronic bases, reading blueprints and electrical circuit diagrams, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical engineering, industrial control systems and industrial electronics
