Android Engineer with a focus on encryption and security (m/f/d)

Development and development of a native Android application (Java and Kotlin) implementing new app functionality exclusively in Kotlin; Migration of existing Java components after Kotlin Cooperation with architecture and technology concepts (including MVVM and Modern Android Stack) Further development of the app architecture towards Jetpack Compose, Room and modern state management approaches Implementation and further development of end-to-end encryption mechanisms Implementation of secure key management (e.g. Android Keystore) Close cooperation with Design, QA, Product Management and other client teams Technical responsibility in subprojects as well as sharing knowledge to junior developers Active participation in safety-relevant concepts and technical decisions

Successful technical university studies or a comparable degree Ideally at least five years of professional experience in native Android development Very good knowledge of Kotlin and solid experience with Java Discovered experience with modern Android Stack Jetpack Compose ViewModel, LiveData and StateFlow Coroutines and Flows Room Navigation Component WorkManager

Very good understanding of modern software architectures (e.g. MVVM) Experience in cryptography and encryption: symmetrical and asymmetrical procedures (e.g. AES and RSA) secure key management (Android Keystore o. A.) practical work with encryption libraries (e.g. OpenSSL)

Strong interest in security and encryption technologies Experience with unit and UI testing, end-to-end encrypted communication systems, matrix protocol and experience in technical project management or mentoring are desirable
