Head of Operations of the Waste-to-Energy Plant in Ruhleben (m/f/d)

Ensuring plant operation You are responsible for the safe, trouble-free and law-compliant operation of the waste incineration plant. Leading and developing employees You run a team of industrial engineers:insides, shift managers:inside, support their qualifications and support sustainable personnel development. Monitoring emission and environmental requirements You set compliance with all legal requirements (e.g. according to 17. BImSchV) and work closely with authorities. Optimisation of system operation You analyze operating data and develop measures to increase efficiency, optimize availability and reduce emissions and consistently track implementation. Coordination of maintenance and revisions You control and communicate maintenance measures in close coordination with the maintenance to ensure installation availability. Trouble Management and Cause Analysis You are introducing measures in the event of malfunctions, analysing causes and developing sustainable solutions to avoid repetition. Safety and health protection You implement work protection measures consistently and develop the safety culture in operation. Interface to material flow management / delivery You coordinate cooperation with the flow management and waste logistics. In doing so, you will ensure uniform plant loading, compliance with quality requirements (e.g. heating value) and safe handling of the bunker management. Documentation and reporting You are responsible for operating reports, key figures analyses and reports to internal and external bodies.

Completed scientific higher education (uni-diploma / master) of the engineering sciences in the field of process engineering or mechanical engineering or proof of recognition as “other:r employees:r” Long-term professional experience in the management of the operation of power plant Good economic knowledge of the independent implementation of cost and cost-effectiveness calculations and useful value analyses Fast understanding and analytical thinking, persistence, strict target tracking, time management, enforcement and motivation Ability to bring accepted and sustainable solutions to divergent interests through targeted, trust-building communication Ready-to-use project management and DV knowledge (e.g. MS Office, SAP)

Remuneration: We pay according to TVöD VKA with regular tariff adjustments, an annual special payment and an additional occupational pension (VBL). This corresponds in total to at least 74,800 – 105,400 euros per year depending on the professional experience.
