The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village in Berlin supports and accompanies families, children and youth for more than 30 years with diverse, differentiated offers. From the approach of networking and systemic perspectives, we are established in several locations in the capital – from Hellersdorf to Reinickendorf and Mitte to Spandau – with our offers on site in the social areas: these include child and family aid (SOS children's village families and housing groups, educational and family advice, family and district centers, family education, children's day care, multi-generation home), school-based assistance and vocational training projects.

At the SOS Children's Village Berlin we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) and Deputy Coordinator for School Full-Day Care in parttime (30 hours/Where)

We are looking for a dedicated and empirical pedagogical specialist with deputy coordination tasks for the additional promotion and support of students of classes 1 to 6 at our cooperation school, the Theodor-Heuss community school. In our open full-day offer, you will accompany the children in the extra-teaching area and, together with a multi-professional team, will especially design the offers in the afternoon at Hort. You will create a safe, value-adding space where children can develop, learn and experience community. Deputy Coordination (about 5 hours per week) Support for coordination in the organisation of the team as well as in service and representation planning Participation in holiday and absentee planning and in the control of proofs of hours Support in managing team budgets and equipment Participation in coordination team meetings, professional exchange and coordination meetings Interface work between team, management, parents and external cooperation partners Participation in documentation, reports and further development of educational concepts Representation of the coordinator for organisational tasks and voting Pedagogical specialist (main part of working time) accompanying children in their development, supporting them in learning and offering them a safe and value-adding space for development and community – this is at the heart of your work. You accompany the students in the open all-day area – from joint lunch to homework support to exciting AG offers You promote and support the children individually in schooling and out-of-school learning, based on educational competencies and the Berlin education program with creative and varied offers you create informal educational and leisure activities and organize exciting holiday programs Their core working time is between 10:00 and 16:30, with the willingness to take over a late service until 18:00. with your active involvement in team meetings, supervisions and team development processes You will continue to develop our pedagogical concept with professionalism, sense of responsibility and mindfulness, implement the requirements of child protection and care protection and ensure a safe environment for all children
