We operate the databases that power our customer systems. In your role as Senior Expert Database Management (m/w/d), you are responsible for Application Database Administration (ADBA). Our focus is on Oracle products, but also other SQL and No-SQL databases. As a communicative:r contact:in and team player:in you will see the interface to all areas involved to ensure the optimal use of your databases and the availability of the optimal solution.

You develop strategies for database standards, conception, implementation and make requirements for the operation of the databases, even in cloud environments You are responsible for infrastructure and architecture related to Platform and databases You optimize our databases for optimal performance and costs You are responsible for the planning, initiation and implementation of projects for the maintenance and renewal of database technologies and features You coordinate and tax ext. service providers professionally and you work in teams with internal customers & external suppliers You optimierst processes in and outside IT and support users:inside and corporate goals You are responsible for capacity management and capacity planning for the databases You are responsible for the processes for implementing new deliveries and changes to the databases. You support project managers and architects with your expertise You meet operational decisions for the databases in terms of their operational optimization and availability You are responsible for the professional guidance of employees and the support of less experienced colleagues You are contact:in for governance and compliance of the databases You are the interface to developers, application teams, production, management You present content and report up to Head of Division and Project Steering Boards

What distinguishes you: A completed technical, (economic) informatics or business engineer studies or many years of experience in IT infrastructure and data center, IT operation, IT engineering and/or IT development At least 8 years of professional experience in IT, preferably in IT operation of complex system landscapes, software development, IT consulting or IT architecture environment with the focus on databases, preferably Oracle products Very good technical knowledge and certifications on Oracle databases and ideally other of the following products in large heterogeneous IT infrastructures: Oracle Databases, Oracle OGG, Oracle OCI, MySQL/Percona, Teradata, Cassandra, AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, Informix, MS SQL Expertise in database performance optimization & query tuning Expertise in SQL Advanced knowledge and certification of databases in cloud environments, e.g. AWS, OCI, Azure Multiannual project experience (e.g. design of standardized DB environments, migration projects, introduction of new software etc.) Multiannual experience in cooperation and control of external operational and solution partners Very good technical knowledge in large heterogeneous IT infrastructures Comprehensive process and IT-TK know-how, ideally in the telecommunications industry Very good knowledge of server and client HW, operating systems, databases and standard applications (ERP, CRM, Billing) Expressed analytical, solution-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as pronounced technical know-how in the field of application Good ITIL knowledge Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Linux/Unix/Windows) and ideally IT architectures and databases (e.g. Oracle/Hadoop) Knowledge in a programming language e.g. Python, Java and Unix Scripte. Experience in agile methods of action (e.g. SCRUM, SAFe, DevOps) or the interest to acquire them The ability to prepare complex issues in a address-oriented manner and to present these CIOs, division leaders and department leaders, as well as a safe handling of customers, supplier:inside (also internationally) English language skills in word and writing (C1 to GER) Flowing German knowledge or the willingness to learn it
