As Head of CONNECTED QUALITY (m/w/x) you take over the full responsibility for our software product family of the same name within our Metrology Software business unit. CONNECTED QUALITY is a central measurement technology hub that intelligently connects measurement systems, operators and quality data to each other and thus brings the quality in the production and production process of our customers to a new level.

Your role You run two agile, cross-functional teams (scientific & disciplinary; approx. 30 employees) with roles such as product manager:in, product owner, system architect:in and software developer:in – and design a value-adding working environment in which the team likes to contribute and make critical decisions on the one hand

Through active performance management, you will develop your employees in a targeted manner, motivate them to take responsibility and contribute to an open feedback and learning culture where successes are celebrated, identify potentials and address challenges openly – thus creating a high performance team

You contribute to the agile functioning of your teams and integrate stakeholders early in order to make product development resource-friendly, high quality and efficient

As a business owner, you are fully responsible for the success of the new CONNECTED QUALITY product family, starting with the product idea, development, market success and customer satisfaction

You bear the essential responsibility for all decisions regarding product vision, prioritization, technical implementation, business models, stakeholder management as well as team leadership and enablement – you have a considerable scope for design.

You design and refine a future-oriented product vision as well as a roadmap for the CONNECTED QUALITY product family, in which customer needs, market trends, competitive analyses and the strategic corporate objectives are consistently linked to a clear, impact-oriented target image and are specifically prioritized

You take responsibility for the design, control and sustainable development of the CONNECTED QUALITY product family and ensure that it harmonises with the software portfolio and generates real added value for our customers:

You constantly develop the product family in this early stage of product learning together with the market and the customers: You adapt our business models, pricing strategies, sales approaches and channels as needed to support bold market experiments and ensure the success of the software product

In addition to software development, You work in close cooperation with product management, sales, marketing, order management and application technology, sharpen product requirements, synchronize the roadmaps and drive Go to Market initiatives, including sales enablement in international markets

Completed studies in the field of economic engineering, business informatics, computer science or a similar field, at least on Master level

Multiannual disciplinary and professional leadership experience in agile, multi-site teams, ideally with experience in building and developing teams and as a coach

Funded knowledge in product management and (agile) software development, in particular in industrial environments such as production, connectivity, MES, OPC-UA, SaaS or IoT, as well as the successful support of software products from concept phase to successful market launch

Safe handling of agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and active promotion of agility, transparency and self-responsibility as well as a structured methodological approach to tasks

Ability to make sound business-strategic decisions and to consistently align product development to business and customer goals

Embossed communication skills in German and English (C1) for the clear and convincing presentation of vision, goals and priorities towards different stakeholders (management, customers, development, sales)
