Number: MER00043WI As part of the research and development at Mercedes-Benz, our team ensures the supply of our development areas with services, goods and prototype tools that are needed in the context of vehicle development. In the course of digitalization, we are currently revising our processes and IT tools to be able to serve the needs of our customers more quickly and efficiently. We are looking for you as a dedicated AI engineer*in, who supports us in operational procurement management and, with his valuable expertise and experience, contributes significantly to the identification and design of AI solutions / AI elements that can support us in day-to-day business. Your tasks: Operational support in the daily business of procurement management (order processing of services, goods and prototype tools) Analysis of existing procurement processes and identification of optimization potentials and their implementation Detection and evaluation of applications for AI solutions in procurement management Participation in the design and possibly prototypical implementation of AI-based applications (e.g. automation, forecasting, decision support) Support in the evaluation of data and preparation of results for internal stakeholders Cooperation with specialist departments and external partners The activity can begin from August 2026.

Continuous study of computer science, business informatics or a comparable course of studies, preferably focusing on artificial intelligence, data science or machine learning Basic understanding for business processes, ideal for purchasing or supply chain management Safe handling of Microsoft Office Basic knowledge of SAP is a plus point Interest in transferring theoretical knowledge to practice and developing concrete solutions Experience with programming languages such as python and practical knowledge in the fields of AI, machine learning or data analysis Experience or a good theoretical understanding of N8N would be desirable Analytical thinkability and a structured and independent way of working Proactive and curious way of thinking Ability to work effectively in the team Good knowledge of German and English Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate, giving the semester and proof of the regular study period.
