IT Analyst – Cyber Security / Cybersicherheit (m/f/d)

In this role, you protect our own data center and cloud infrastructure from threats by using your excellent detection and response skills to quickly detect, limit and sustainably fix incidents. You are responsible for the 24/7 and on-call rotation analysis, assess or process security-relevant events and security incidents (including based on SIEM, EDR, NIDS or similar systems). Observe and evaluate external sources of information (e.g. Threat Intelligence, OSINT) to assess the current threat situation, and develop/test detection rules, correlations and detection stories along MITRE ATT&CK. You investigate vulnerabilities in the context of the cause analysis, conduct incident-response measures as well as Threat, Vulnerability and Risk analyses, and are responsible for the prioritization of vulnerabilities and the derivation of appropriate measures. You work closely with internal teams (IT operation, IT architecture and IT security management) as well as external service providers and participate in the further development of attack detection, prevention and reaction processes. The documentation, reporting and processing of security expertise for technical and non-technical target groups are also within your competence.

You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, IT security or a comparable degree course or alternatively have a professional qualification with relevant professional practice. You have relevant experience with SOC, Cyber Defense Operations, IT Security or Incident Response and bring a good understanding of IT infrastructures, network technologies and common security architectures. You are versed in dealing with security tools (e.g. SIEM, EDR) and are familiar with cloud security for Azure or AWS as well as with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes; additional scripting or automation know-how is advantageous. Ideally, you already have a security certification (e.g. GCIH, GCED, CISSP, Blue Team certifications) and are familiar with IT/OT security or regulated environments. You speak fluently German and English; the readiness and the shift operation are open to you. Personally, you are characterized by a responsible, analytical and structured way of working as well as team spirit and the motivation to work into complex issues.
