W2 Professorship for Nursing Sciences (m/w/d)

With about 40 degree courses, the Dual University of Saxony leads students to the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in practical-integrated dual degree programs and will also offer dual master courses and conduct cooperative research. The scientific-theoretical study sections at the state study academies and the practical study sections are implemented with a practical partner. In this way, the Duale Hochschule Sachsen provides excellently qualified specialists and executives in the fields of business, technology and health and social affairs to the institutions of the economy, free professions, comparable institutions outside the economy and institutions of social responsibilities. Task profile: In the primary-qualifying dual bachelor’s program “Pflege-, students are empowered to provide independent, comprehensive and process-oriented care for people of all ages in acute and permanently stationary and outpatient care settings. Students are qualified on a scientific basis and methodology for professional nursing in the fields of health promotion and prevention, curation, rehabilitation and palliation. As part of the Bachelor’s programme “Pflege”, students acquire the necessary skills to be able to perform nursing tasks independently and independently in highly complex care situations. This applies, in particular, to the reserved activities and to the independent and independent exercise of advanced healing activities. The legal basis of the curriculum is the nursing profession law and the nursing profession training and examination regulations. Their tasks include the design and implementation of courses in accordance with the curriculum, active participation in the continuous development of the study contents, the support of students in project and bachelor work, the acceptance of examinations including the state final examination for professional admission, the contact care to the practical partners, the support of practical applications and close cooperation with the practical instructions of the practical partners, the advice of research interests.

Applicants are to demonstrate competencies in at least three of the following areas: Nursing quantitative or qualitative care research Care/medical education Ethics in care Gerontology/Geriatrie Health promotion and prevention Palliative Care Emergency care/intensive care paediatric care psychiatric care In addition, further specialist knowledge in the following areas is desirable: Simulation-based teaching Digitalization in care Experience and didactic skills for the theory-practice transfer, in development professional competence and practical examinations Experiences with projects in cooperation with practical partners Additional qualification Practical instructions In the content and organizational coordination and the efficient design of the scientific and practical phases of study, there is a need for a strong technical skills, practical experience as a competent interlocutor for the dual practical partners, as well as experience and knowledge in the care of students and in the organization of study courses. Commitment and operational capacity for the further development of the “Pflege” course are assumed. All applicants must fulfil the conditions of employment according to § 59 SächsHSG: completed university studies of the relevant scientific area (e.g. nursing, nursing or medical education, nursing management, advanced nursing practice), pedagogical aptitude, which is usually demonstrated by experience in teaching, high-indebtedness-dactical qualifications and by a sample event (sample lecture, trial lecture), special ability to scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate, special services in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a generally five-year, relevant professional practice, of which at least three years have been carried out outside the higher education sector. Applicants must also provide a completed training and professional experience in a nursing profession.

The place of work is the State Academy of Studies in Plauen. If necessary, it is also possible to use another State Academy of Studies at the Dual University of Saxony. The nature and scope of the duties of the teaching staff at the University of Applied Sciences in Saxony are given by the University Service Tasks Regulation.
