The Clinic for Haematology, Oncology and Palliative Medicine at the Vivantes Klinikum in Friedrichshain treats all oncological and hematological diseases and has 37 beds, including 6 beds at the Palliativstation. A special scientific focus is on gastrointestinal tumors and lung carcinomas for which clinical studies are offered in the tumor center; national and international networking also enables the exchange of studies for further tumour entities. The outpatient treatment is carried out within the framework of the outpatient specialist medical care (ASV) and the MVZ as well as in the interdisciplinary ambulance. The clinic leads the interdisciplinary tumour conference for the Gynaecological Cancer Center, the Urooncological Cancer Center, the Neurooncological Center and the Skin Cancer Center and also takes over medicamentary tumour therapies for patients in these areas.
